Congratulations to the 1st Batch of the Female African Media Gurus
On Thursday 18th of May, IBDL, in Association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has celebrated the end of the training of the African women working in the media. The training was organized by IBDL and the Egyptian Agency for Partnership and Development (EAPD) in accordance with the National Council of Women and the Media Chamber.
IBDL is a strong supporter of the national attitude towards the African Continent and the active role soft power plays in strengthening the bond between Egypt and the governments of the African continent. In the light of this belief, IBDL has given the female African media journalists the title of ambassadors of education in their countries. Minister Moushira Khatab, Egypt's candidate to the UNESCO, and many other influencing calibers in the African business field have also attended the ceremony.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, IBDL awarded the 'IBDL Ambassador for Education and Development' certificate for the first time in its history to the members of the delegation of African women journalists working in the Radio and Television Union and newspapers from 30 African countries. This comes in line with the global approach in recent years to support the empowerment and promotion of women's presence in all leadership and executive positions.
